The 2016 International Conference on Progress in Informatics and Computing (PIC-2016) will be held on Dec 23-25, 2016 in Shanghai, which is famed as a thriving metropolis and one of the largest city in the world. The combination of the traditions and modernism and the East mixing with the West has built its unique charm.

PIC-2016 will provide a forum for researchers and practitioners in academia and industry to discuss the progress, challenges, experiences and trends of the theoretical and application issues in computer science, software and information management, to exchange ideas, share knowledge and promote future cooperation.

PIC-2016 is sponsored by IEEE Beijing Section, co-organized by Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Partnered by Tongji University. It is the fourth in the series of PIC conference. The first and second conference were held in December 10-12,2010, and in May 16-18, 2014 respectively, both in Shanghai. The third conference was held in December 16-18, 2015, in Nanjing. All the previous conferences were a great success.

As with the previous PIC conference, all accepted papers of PIC-2016 will be published in the IEEE categorized conference proceedings and submitted for indexing by EI Compendex, as well as IEEE Xplore after the conference. Best paper awards will be distributed during the conference. Substantially extended versions of good papers will be recommended for publication in several international SCI and EIindexed journals.

Submissions of papers describing original work in, but not limited to, the following topics are enthusiastically encouraged (for the detail topics, please refer to the conference website):
